Clip Samurai is built to need as little of your data as possible. There's no account system, no user database, and no server that stores anything about you or the clips you download.
What runs where
Everything this tool does happens directly in your browser. When you paste a clip link, look up a streamer, or download a file, your browser talks directly to Twitch's or Kick's own public services — nothing passes through a server we operate. We never see the clips you download, the streamers you look up, or anything else you do here.
What we store locally
A few things are saved in your browser's local storage, purely to make the site more convenient to use, and none of it is ever sent to us or anyone else: your theme preference (light or dark mode), and if you use it, your History - recently viewed clips, bulk downloads, and channel searches, kept so you can revisit them without redoing the work. All of it stays on your device and clears if you clear your browser's data.
Third-party services
Because clip and profile data comes directly from Twitch and Kick, your requests are subject to those platforms' own privacy policies, not just ours:
Analytics
This site uses Google Analytics to understand overall traffic and which features get used - things like which pages are visited and roughly how people navigate the site. It doesn't tell us who you are personally, and we don't connect it to anything about the clips you download or the streamers you look up.
Google Analytics uses cookies to do this. You can opt out using a browser extension like Google's own Analytics opt-out add-on, or by blocking cookies in your browser's settings. See Google's Privacy Policy for how they handle this data on their end.
Beyond that, we don't use advertising trackers or sell any data to third parties.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the "last updated" date above will reflect it. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated policy.
